I have a Steury cc2200 I love the boat. we have had it in the family since 1980. some upgraded include a 383 chevy HO motor that gets me upto about 55mph. This is saying alot due to the fact that the boat is very heavy, the ride is unmatched by any boat on the water. I am wanting to update the outdrive next.
I have a 1978 2200 Offshore since May 1980. Use it for saltwater fishing. Went through alot of equipment but the boat is strong. I just get wet when the seas are up or the chop is up in the bay.
hi my name is steve and i am really curious about your steury 383ci. thats what i had in mind for my 1978 steury s2200cc but the omc outdrive is scaring me a little what are the specs on your 383? stock heads, compretion, camshaft? i would also love to see pictures on your 2200
Hey my name is brandon and i have the same exact boat. I have a question for you....I have a 898 mercruiser and was wondering what prop i needed, as far as diameter, and pitch. Please help me out, thanks
We had a 78 s2200 and the best prop was a 19 X 21 quicksiver. The michigan and others are not the same.
It also had a 898 305 chevy. If it is a factory cupped prop it helped in the cavitiation also.
the 21 gave it a little move top end but the 19 was superb. It out the boat at the max 4300 rev quicker
