I replaced my bellows and bearing back in June with all new quicksilver parts. Everything went in smooth and the gasket was nice and flush when I torqued the 6 bolts holding on the stern drive to the Transom. I did notice after the first trip out on the water that the gasket pushed out a tad, showing a bit the the orange gasket seal, but I thought maybe the gasket was just settling itself. I has the boat out again this weekend and now noticed even more of the gasket has protruded out from the seam, and now there a 1/4" chunk missing from it. Is there a trick to install these that I missed? The surface was flat and clean, and I torqued the stern drive on using traditional star pattern torque. Should I immediately replace this broken gasket?
