Hello Iboat DIY'ers..
This Is ONE of two common repairs that many are asking about..
This Is an Air void repair .. I only chose to use mat over the repair due to depth of the void ..and speed of the boat ( this thing goes WAY FAST ! ). Dont want a patch falling off

You can see there are only 3 tools I used on this.
1. Die grinder with a moderate bit.
2. 2" grinding disk. ( can be used with an air tool like this or a drill with the attachments.. 3m rol-lock )
3. my Dynabrade DA air sander. ( you can do this by hand or a palm sander .. but takes more time in shaping ).
Grind, fill, prep, mask, clean, spray ( I used a preval sprayer like MOST all of the small repairs I do ). used the DA to sand with 320,400,600....then wet sanded it with 1200. buffed 3x softly until done..
The guide coat ( blue in the pics ) show you when to STOP sanding with the coarse paper and switch to fine. Dont sand all the guide coat off with 320... finish the dye-coat with finer paper..some 400.. 600 then 1200..buff.
Its real EZ m8s..
You might " burn " through some of your first Gel repairs..but you will get the hang of it..
Hopes this helps some..
