Pulling Steering wheel from my SC, original wheel been there since 1968..
Do I use a puller from the autoparts store or I read about backing off the nut to the end of the shaft (flush) and banging it with a mallet...

Any of you SC guys done this...Matt? NB? Oh thats right, you are on vacation NB, leaving us hanging..lol

Re: Steering Wheel Removal

Kevin..... are you going to use the wheel again and the system?

I would apply a little heat (little) and then hit it with PB and let it soak in.... then thump it tomorrow to come off.

Are there holes that will accept a puller? Most have a woodruff key and tapered shaft and with some umph they come off.

Ayuh,... I've never had a removal failure using the BFHammer method...

Just use Lots of Up pressure,+ usually 1 Good Wack....
