I picked a Momo wheel to replace the original wheel but ran into a bolt size and pattern difference...Both are a 6 star pattern but the new momo use's a slightly smaller bolt and the pattern is slightly different just enough i cannot refab it..So does anyone know of a adapter plate ...Ive seen many but there are so many different pattern's

Looking for a been there done that deal....

That was my first thought also..but the pattern is off by 1/8" just enough to make that improbable..i guess i could jb weld the holes and tap new ones but there has to some conversion adapter out there.

Ayuh,... Every boat steerin' wheel I've seen, other than a few antiques, has the 3/4" taper, 'n hub, built right into the wheel itself,...

Re: Steering wheel guru ..hub adapter

A couple of tricks I have used in the past...
Not necessarily for steering wheels, but for engine/mechanical stuff...
First one is to run screws into the threads using red loc-tite...when it sets up, cut/grind off any portion of the screw that protrudes flush with the either the steering wheel or hub... this gives you basically a blank template with which to re-drill the new mounting bolts...then drill and tap the new holes as needed...
The other is to make your own adapter plate out of a piece of 1/4"-1/2" thick aluminum...that gets a bit more involved and works best when changing to a completely different bolt pattern, say 4 bolts to 6...otherwise you end up doing almost the same thing as above, drill/tap/grind, remark for the other bolt pattern and repeat...
