Steering cable

We bought a new Triumph boat this year. We love the boat. I know some people don't think much of the plastic boats but we really like ours. Very easy to clean and the best riding boat I have been in in a long time. The main problem we have is stiff steering. We had the dealer look at it and he didn't think it was that bad. He worked on it some and helped it some but it still isn't as smooth as we are us to. The dealer said it as a lot to do with the way the cable is run at the factory. I think if I could lube the cable it would help. Is there any way to lube the steering cable? Thanks.

bubba,

Is it harder to turn one way than another at planing speeds?

If so, you may need to adjust the trim tab on the engine.

Re: Steering cable

Once you get going it isn't so bad. It is when you are trying to maneuver around docks and like that.
