Steering Cable Replacement

Does anyone know how to remove a steering cable on a teleflex Safe T Helm. I pulled the pin, but cable will not pull out. Any ideas

Ermess....I'm going to move your post over to the "Boat Topics & Questions (Not Engines)" forum.

Did you turn the steering wheel to push the cable out? This is a rotary system isn't it?

look at figure 6 in the link. it show the pin in stored position, on the side of the stored position is a hole, insert the pin to release the lock cam.

Manual only talks about installing not removal of cable on Safe T Helm
