Re: starting

Well gonna pick up my safety neutral switch tomorrow, went to a local yard that has some boats, and motors for parts or purchase, this guy fixes them up and sells them in his spare time, he has quite a few older motors, I need an opinion, he has a 40 horse johnson just like mine, says it runs great, has the wire harness and the charging system with the electric control box, mine does not have the recarging system, is it worth having? he's asking 250, and i paid 300 for mine, so would it be worth grabbing?::rolleyes:

Well we took the p-14 1967 seaswirl that we bought, with that johnson 40 horse from 1969 that we had issues with, got that safety neutral switch starts up everytime, took it to bumping lake in Washington state, it ran awesome great excellent, ran it for about total 3 1/2 hours, it did great and went a lot faster than i thought it would, still have to fine tune the idle a little but overall its great, Thanks to everyone for the suggestions and hints, they helped greatly very very very appreciated  :) :D , I will post pics of the boat soon.
