starting troubles

hello folks,i just aqquired a 1978 mercer trihull with a 72 chrysler 105hp the previous owner ran it only in fresh water i have never seen a older motor so clean. hers my problem, it has spark , its getting gas , it turns beautifuly but its wont run so any advice would help thanks

When you try and start it are you using the choke? The choke is engaged by pushing the key in. You will hear the solinoid click and the choke butterflies will open on each choke. If you are choking and it wont start mix gas and oil into a spray bottle and spray into the carbs and see if it will sputter doing that.
