starting the darn thing

I have this little 16ft boat, and it has this 70hp Chrysler from 1973. Its a 3 cylinder 2 stroke engine that is very clean...but, we've been having trouble getting the darn thing to start... We know its somewhere in the wiring, but haven't narrowed it down. Could someone provide me a wiring diagram so I can get a better understanding of it. The serial # is 1216 I believe (hard to read it off the cellphone camera). Thanks a bunch.

Chrysler made 4 different ignitions. Magna power CD ignition (delta system) and (Motorola System) also a motorola 2 system and a maganpower breakerless electronic ignition. What color are the wires going to the CD unit on yours?
