Re: starting problems
If it is getting fuel and spark it will run so one or the other is missing. How do you know it's getting fuel? How do you know it has spark?? Did you pull the plugs and read them?? How old is the fuel? Did you treat the fuel with Stabil or SeaFoam before storing the engine?? Is not -- you should have. If you did treat the fuel, did you run the engine long enough to get the treated fuel into the engine?? If not you should have. Simply pouring treatment into the fuel protects only the fuel. It is the engine fuel system that needs it too. Mix some fuel and oil in a spray bottle and spray some directly into the carb throats while trying to start the engine. If it still fails to fire you have weak spark, no spark or the plugs are fouled. Lastly, what is your starting procedure?
