Starting issues 92 40hp johnson

the pontoon runs great the problem is if you sit for a while with the radio on and the motor not running the motor will not start up again the radio is hooked up to an acc switch on the dash if you turn the power off to the dash and wait 15 min the boat will start. Any suggestions?

Does this boat have a voltmeter on the console? If so, what does it read with the engine running at 1500 - 2000 rpm and then with the engine off, key on? You may have a bad battery or a charging system that isn't working. If you don't have a voltmeter on the console, buy a hand held unit for $10 or so at any home improvement store. Take the same measurements just mentioned directly at the battery.
