starting fluid

is it ok to use starting fluid on a two stroke to weed out carb problems,just a shot not a long blast.

The problem with starting fluid is zero oil.<br />I've seen a guy at the ramp using it,but I <br />would rather take a spray bottle with 50:1 in it,and spray it into the intake to diagnose 2 cyle problems.<br />Just use a clean bottle

Catfish, WD-40 works good for this an is safer.....

thanks i keep wd 40 on the boat anyway. after thinking about it would be safer to store on the boat.
