hey guys- my boat, 24ft sunray cierra, powered by 470 merc with alpha one outdrive, starts very slowly. sometimes she seems like she isnt going to start but she always has. My question is, can I change to a faster starter?? If so, shat would I put in her?? thank you....cal

The starter is probably on its last leg, so might be wise to replace it.

I agree with the previous two responses provided that you have eliminated the other possible causes: weak battery, loose or corroded connections.
