Starter Question, 72 Mercruiser 140

So, i have a 71 or 72 for some reason im drawing a blank right now, mercruiser 140, gm 181 3.0l.

No i can find starters for this boat from like the 84 or 86 and newer, will these starters work for my 71/72 engine?

That be the one, I know this boat uses the 9tooth one, but I'm still curiouse if anyone has used a newer 11tooth one for this engine or if it will even work
