Starflight Selectric 1968 65HP Problem

Hi,<br /><br />I just bought a Starflight Selectric 1968 65HP outboard. The problem i have is when we were fishing the other day the motor stoped propelling forward the engine ran fine with plenty of revs and the prop would spin but there was no forward motion. Could some please help thank you.

check your shear-pin first, make sure that it hasn't broken, second, if the pin is fine put a mark on your prop and hub , take it for a run and then see if the marks are still in line, if they arn't then you probably have a spun prop hub. check these things first then we can go from there.
