Looking to purchase a boat and just checked a Starcraft Superfisherman 196 2000 at a dealer.
150hp EFI Merc, looked like immaculate condition.
Trailer was original, everything clean and shiny.
Boat was purchased at same dealership brand new by older gentleman who couldn't fish anymore so is selling the boat.
Has all original paperwork in the boat, every single storage opens, no cracks etc...
Dealer has checked Transom, Engine and other main parts to make sure they all run smooth and gives warranty on them.
Is there anything you could recommend looking into or any serious flaws with the boat that make it must-avoid at all costs?
I read few issues about Hull Rivets leaking over time, but it seems to be an issue with all older Aluminium boats.
I wonder how bad it could be considering boat looks like well taken care of?
