The wanker (a proper British term) selling the Wankel is over selling. I complain about NLA parts for my Merc, you might find some metric bolts for this baby. Wankels are notorious gas hogs, too. I noticed he doesn't say it ran great the last time out. Wonder when that was?

agreed....but if i were starting from scratch, i might try to talk him down to 10 or so. a 4 stroke 225 is worth what, maybe 4000+ by itself? and the HDS12 touch is well over 1500. of course, i'd probably drive out to AZ and then find he used PT ply for decks and transom.........

I think he made himself a nice flat fishing deck and one of his buddies told his boat looked like a cigarette style boat.....

it is interesting, but these days, when you can get an entire jet ski for about that $ and have reliable motor, it's just a curiosity. i can only imagine the howl it would make if mounted in an aluminum hull......ever heard an unmuffled rotary? sure, let's put that in the boat next to me for a peaceful day's fishing....:eek:

another in the SW, this time up north of Santa Fe....a Lone Star, but it is 22' and tin. this has been on CL for over 2 years off and on (i've posted it here before), so despite his claims of price firm @900, i suspect he might negotiate. crusty old guy who is obviously not too tech savvy with all them newfangled computers etc

Too far & I too am cash poor, but I do like it. Certainly hope it remains intact. $600 is in the ball park for a sawzall savant to hack it to bits.... That'd bum me out just to hear it'd been converted to a fishing rig. No pix, please, no pix...

Yeah if that boat was any where near me I would be in trouble. Nice newer dbl axle trl too.

i think he was tyring to hide his shame at having a FIBERGLASS Starcraft. but he gets points for being honest enough to admit it for the benefit of non-Starmadans who don't know to look for rivets
