Re: Starcraft on clist!

The very first boat I owned was an 89 21' Holiday. I cruised every river in Pittsburgh and sold it when I moved to VA because I was told it was to small for Ocean use. I kick myself in the ***** everyday for selling it because I see people fishing in john boats 5 miles off shore. Except for the painted trailer It would have been perfect down here.

I agree...a 21' Holiday is a good one for some open water. They've got really high sides and a closed bow helps shed spray and waves. A 26' Islander would be the best big water hull made by SC.

I've taken my 16' SS out on Lake Huron and was impressed by how well it handled 3-4' waves. We got a little spray but had a blast.:D

We've got plenty here in Michigan if you are ever in the area! Good luck.

Hey did this one get posted here yet? I haven't been keeping up with this thread lately.

That looks like a perfect second project - I'd love to start with a gutted boat next time.

Yah, Kev was actually make an offer on that boat but I guess they said that the cat had to be part of the deal. I don't think Kev went for it.

That first one looks alot like a fiberglass Starchief to me, pretty neat.

That second one would be a good rig for Jason to buy for the river.

Here's another rig that's a nice package deal, extra props and a fish finder.

Yah, I was sorta wondering if he'd go just $100 of the boat and I would worry about the trailer another day??

I have a guy right here in town that will give me pretty much that same rig, with a broken Chrysler motor for $350. Still chewing on that one.:D

have a shot at this, then another dozen guys afterwards............got the pics, asked the Q's already

I was hoping it was a Sport versus a Holiday for seating and fishing purposes. Anyway, the engine may render useless, but the boat at one time had a floor change already. For the price it is tempting, not a fan of closed bows though?
