I think it is a Jupiter, still haven't measured it, it's living at a friend's house.

So Groucho is holding her for you.

Only going by the windshield vent, probably a Jupiter. Or a Jup windshield was swapped on to her.

Doesn't really matter, it's an SC and it's made out of old beer cans... it doesn't get any better than that!!!

What model it is isn't really important unless you're trying to find out the max. horse power or person capacity, something like that.

You have the best of the pleasure craft boating world right there. Aluminum boats are easy to work on, they're cheaper to work on, you don't have to worry about your below deck structure turning into garden mulch in the blink of an eye if you should happen to forget to cover it one night, and you don't have to worry about women bugging you to take them out on it and them sullying up the place with their girliness and girly stuff... they can stay at home in the kitchen where they belong!

Hey, I like the tongue-in-cheek woman comments! It's funny, I'm the woman in memphis117 and my husband, pictured by the boat, is a restaurant owner/executive chef. We will be doing a full restoration this winter. Until then, back on the water tomorrow!

What What What??? A wimmins that likes sardine cans?

Wimmins that like tin boats and men that cook?... what's this world coming to?

I suppose the next thing you're going to tell me is that you're going to help restore the boat too?

Seriously though, what's the plans for the boat resto. It looks pretty good to me "as is". New decking, transom, and deck covering? New paint and seats? Maybe chop out the bow cover and put a deck up there instead?

Nice catch, I missed that part of the picture. Too busy looking at that prime speciman of a Starcraft!
Menphis117 looks like you found a fine one.

Yes, I'm going to be very involved in the restoration. Being a restaurant widow, I have to take care of everything myself. We are going to replace the deck, new paint, seats specific to this model(that's why I really want to know what it is), restore dash, and transom for good measure. I'm currently searching for a steering wheel. The windshield has a crack, but that is going to wait. It must be identical. It is in very good condition, I am lucky to have found her!

Your hull identification number should be stamped on the upper right hand (starboard) outside side of the transom. You can determine the year from that and then go through the StarCraft brochures online and find out what you have. What do your registration papers say the boat is? Any year model on those papers?

I'm pretty sure the original seats in that boat were the back to back "noggin knockers". 2 seats together with one facing forward and the other facing aft and when you go to lean back and relax you knock heads with the person sitting behind you. Not my kind of seats, but some people like them and they do come in handy if you're towing skiers.

:welcome: Memphis! You're in for some great times with that little tinny and some not so good times when it comes to striping paint and scrubbing every inch of it. Should be a fun project and a good size for a first timer to tackle, very doable! :thumb:

Glad you took Jig's comments with good nature and the way they were intended. He is the president of our local chapter of the He Man Woman Haters Club and we don't normally send him out to do the iboats forum initiations.

Post up some more pics when you get the chance.

Do I have to use marine paint if it is only going to be in fresh water?

Many of us use Rustoleum for fresh and salt water. We have a paint recipe here somewhere for thinner and hardener ratios for a good durable finish.

I think it may be a 1966, the id plate from Starcraft is not there, is there another place the id number is stamped? It will not be in the water all season.

Welcome to the Starmada! :welcome:

That's one sweet Rig! It will have some serious giddy-up with that 70 hanging off of the back!
