Starcraft console to Gunnel joint?

Have any of you Starcraft rebuilders addressed any of these joint issues?

The consoles on my Super are set lower than the gunnel. This channels water from the windshield and bow cover down into the boat on a rainy day, even with my mooring covers on.

Caulking the same may help a little bit but the water cannot flow past the trim because the console edge is lower.

Wondering if raising the console enough so the water can flow over will work. I’ll have to make a base adjustment blocks to go under the Consol legs in order to maintain the windshield relationship.

Have you guys done anything to address this?

On a trailer queen the thought never crossed my mind, but I fully understand your issue with it on a mooring. You are already aware of the windshield issue it would cause, and i cant see any problems beyond that. Another 3/4” or whatever it is higher shouldnt be an issue at all. Just be prepared to make more modifications to make it fit since it will be custom. But Id say go for it, keep the water out of your boat, especially when you’re not around. Thats a logical modification in my mind.

I'd be concerned about windscreen and mooring cover fitment once the consoles are raised. The 'Alum Goods' version has the console tops overlapping the gunnels, which sends water out to the gunnels, and hopefully overboard.

Excellent point. The cover was tight already. Not sure if there’s enough give left in the fabric for it to work. The only other option that I can think of is a small hole at the low point with a tube draining to below. Not sure how to do that one so it looks nice.
