Real nice job so far. Where did you get the tank and how do you plan on accomodating the fittings and fill tube thru the floor?

Moving right along, tough to find threads on SC boats in the general resto forum, most of us tin heads are in the SC section but better late than never I guess. :thumb:

So I had the tank fabricated where I work .125 5052 alum with 6061 fittings. will vent though the filler and a fitting at the front of the tank. As far as fuel filler and fuel withdrawal both will be covered by the splash-well

Just be sure that the fuel tank in no way supports or comes in contact with the decking.

Nice work on the transom mount, lots of room on it for your transducer and such.

There was a bit of head scratching between fuel capacity and clearance so ended up 4 ft x 2 ft x 6 inch deep about 20 imperial gallons

Having a new tank built is a great idea although it can be spendy but you get what you need and want most times. I had Moeller build a new tank for my SS, they coated the outside with coal tar epoxy for corrosion resistance.

You may think about priming and painting your new tank for that reason... oh and don't ever add ethanol to the inside either.
