1980 mercury 150 starts fine then stalls after idling for 30 seconds or so. New fuel pump, filter, primer bulb, idle control module and has good gas. Carbs have been soaked and cleaned with b12 and compressed air. Any ideas? Reeds looked good too.

Honestly it sounds to me like sticky floats, I would go back in and have another go at cleaning the carbs paying special attention that all the tiny holes are still spotless, and then doing a link and synch.
How are the hoses, a failing hose can clog a carb real quick.

Do you have a portable tank you can test it with. It might be the fuel sending unit.

Even if there was a small leak somewhere causing air air to get it. That's what happened to my motor. I ended up doing 2 things so I'm not sure which fixed the issue, but the primer bulb wouldn't get hard. Replaced every line and still would not work. Used a portable tank and that fixed the problem......I also played with the idle cause I had put new cables in though.
