I need a bunch of stainless steel screws, nuts and bolts for my boat rebuilt, but Lowes and Home Depot are going to put me into the poor house, $5 for 4- #12 bolts :confused::mad:

Does anyone know of an online source to buy SS hardware by the box?

I've also bought some assortments from Harbor Freight, although availability varies, and I've used some stainless steel deck screws from Menards for certain tasks. They're not perfect for boat use, though they are cheap.

Take a look at "Bolt Depot.com"

Used them a few years back.

I would want to know WHERE? the fasteners are manufactured and compare the prices.

Good Luck

Thanks guys!

Harbor Freight and Fastenal look pretty good on their prices, they are local too which is a bonus.

I second the McMaster Carr post. They also have stainless hardware like recessed eyelets - which at ~$5 are cheaper and better than the Perko chrome plated ones (for $20 at West Marine). Very good prices on nylon insert nuts too!
