Hey folks,
New to me boat that came with the stock, aluminum prop.
Looking to get recommendations on a SS prop.
I’ve only ever owned outboards and this is my first stern drive. Was looking at a Powertech ELE, PTC model, and the OSS model. No idea the differences or if there’s a different recommendation all together. Those 3 closely matches the diameter of the OEM prop.
Would rather get some solid recommendations before dropping $$. Thanks!

  1. None. Aluminum prop has a few small nicks. Want to upgrade to SS. Looking for overall good performance.
  2. Volvo Penta 3 blade aluminum
  3. 14.5x19
  4. 5k RPM. 52 ish MPH
  5. Volvo Penta 5.0 GXI, with Volvo SX Drive. 270HP, 2008.
  6. 2008 Monterey 214 FSC. 3900lbs

When I switched to the SS I dropped 1" in pitch from the Stock AL Prop. What occurred I had my SS(OMC RAKER) from my previous Outboard on hand, so I had the Hub replaced so it would fit on a VP. I later replaced it with a Merc Enertia. Both props run about the same rpm as the VP AL prop did, but the Boat rode and handled Much Differently with these Props.
I ran into 89retta at the Lake one Day, he saw the Boat with the Enertia on it.
My Avatar shows my boat running the Enertia

If I remember correctly I gave you a run for your money lol. Also I did pick up an Enertia 19 pitch after that day. Pretty good prop. But sold it and now I'm running a 19 Revolution 4. Have been out lately?

You did, until I started my Motor...

I haven't been out since 2021. The Town Really Effed up the Launch Site, and the Park is now even Worse. Docks are almost Non-Existent. My poor Buick was Sideswiped Last Year, and I haven't moved the Hitch to the Caddy

They opened up a new launch on the Southside at sundance. It's pretty good and not busy

Years ago there was a Launch at that Rock Canal near Sundance, but about 20 yrs ago, they blocked Canal up. Did they reopen it?

Edit: Looking at Google, it is the same One. And I see the Parking Area. I will have to check it out. Keep this on the QT, or else it will be overloaded
