SS where did you hear about The Texan?? Back in the day I was associated with an ADBA crew. At the time we ran a Blown Gas Hydro under the name Sundown. Eddie ran Top Fuel Hydro for a number of years while I was there. He jumped to cars (Top Fuel Rails) a few years before I got out of Drag Boating.

I've known about his accident for several years now. Every once in awhile they show his accident on those "When Things Go Bad" type shows. It was after that accident and his recovery when he went to drag cars. That had to be long time ago when it happened. For a long time I thought he only drove drag cars until I saw his drag boat accident on TV. I have a great deal of respect for that man. To go through what he has and keep at it is amazing.

Ahhh, the Silver Fox.
Yep, Oct 1984 when he crashed that boat going around the 217 MPH mark.
