Sputtering when at full throttle

So I just purchased a boat a couple weeks ago, boat cranked up without issues with muffs and had it running for about 15 minutes. Got the boat home and it ran fine with muffs, didnt sputter when running throttle only. Took the boat out for about an hour and it ran beautifully until about 10 minutes before we docked, I noticed it started sputtering at full throttle. I was able to throttle it down to idle and then it went to full throttle with no issues or sputtering. 3 days later I tried it in the water again but now it wont full throttle what so ever. It revs to about 2000 RPMS and then sputters when full throttle. I have removed the carb but havent taken it out on the water.

After removing the carb I do notice that there is gas pouring out the side of the carb through the over flow part.

Any recommendations?

Are you saying you took the carb off, took it apart, reinstalled, and now the float bowl is overflowing?

Check that the float moves freely, the needle and seat are clean and the needle is installed correctly. I don't know that specific carb or I could be more help

If the gas is leaking out of the small brass vent hole in the side of the carb, then either the needle valve or seat is bad, or the float level is set too high.
Could also be a small piece of debris caught between the needle valve and seat.

As pnwboat said; there may be a tiny piece of debris preventing the needle to travel freely up/down-(speaking from experience), more over, the floats need to be adjusted just right otherwise the carbs will flood-post some pics and/or year model of motor??

Helps to know what were working on?
The carb can have 2 different needle/seat combo's.
One needle can have a rubber tip and a solid seat, the other a solid tip and
an o-ring in the seat.
Some cleaners can hurt the rubber in the needle/seats and melt plastic if there's any used
and can swell the rubber in the seat and cut off the fuel completely, then the swelling goes away after a few hrs.
If there's gas coming out the side? then clean the carb and inspect the needle/seat.
Make sure the float is set right: carb upside down the float is even with the base of the carb.
Do a compression test, carb off inspect the reeds for broken missing reeds.

The first 4 posts have a lot of info for keeping your motor running good.

Here is a short video of how much it is leaking when running. I am going to remove the carb again today and try and clean it again and readjust the float and needles to see if that’s causing the issues.

When you turn the carb upside down to check the setting, try blowing through the fuel inlet to make sure the valve shuts off the flow.
