Motor runs fine in the driveway, but jumps when trying to push my heavy welded 1448 jon. Will a spun prop jump at low speeds? Once it kicks in the motor runs like a top and pushes the boat great. I have another prop that I'm gonna put on and test, but I cant get the dang nut off. Letting it soak and gonna try again tomorrow.

Not sure what jumps, means. what size motor? Put a piece of 2x4 between prop vent plate to stop prop from turning to assist in removing nut.

It's not trying to jump out of gear? I had that happen on an older 'rude when it was under a heavy load like getting on plane...

Remote controlled? If so, check for misaligned linkage...not engaging far enough in F gear. On Mercs, the barrel on the end of shift cable at the engine is threaded to move up and down the cable adapter to change the position of the shift lever.
