can someone please tell me what the spring is underneath the bolt on the shift cable. is it something that needs to be pressed down when I'm adjusting the shift cable. basically I need to know if I need to have the bolt all the way down everytime I test or can I not have that spring press down and keep doing adjustments.
What year, engine and drive model are you working on? Your engine serial number could be helpful too. Are you asking about item #4?
