I put it in the Jeep top because the top was smooth gel coat, just like a boat. It was glossy black when new, but with in a couple of years it was chalky and had stress fractures on in the gel coat. The bedliner was the easiest way to hide the ugly.:D

Like I said, great call! The same would apply to old Bronco's/Jimmy's too! They had a somewhat "textured" top to begin with.

One of the great things about this forum is the "similar threads" section at the botttom of the page. You not only have up to date discussions of your topic but you also have the opportunity to read previous discussions. Unfortunately, you usually don't realize it's a repeated topic until you post it yourself and see the similar threads :redface:

I went with the tried and true keel guard. Easy to apply, looks good, variety of colors, and don't have to worry about it coming off.

Yup. Great product.

When I bought mine, I think the kit was old. The chemicals didn't look right, as described, in the manual.

I called them and had new "chemicals" in two days. Great Company. I highly recommend.

My "Guard" hasn't moved in three years of hard use.
