HELP!!!
I've posted before, but thought I'd simplify my question and hopefully get some responses.
My 1996 SportJet 120XR cranks but won't start (not even a little firing). When I accidentally advanced the timing 18 degrees beyond where it should be, it started and ran great.
Why would a boat with such advanced timing start and run, and when it is timed per specification (32 BTDC at WOT - cranking speed) it won't start or run at all? From what I've read, I shouldn't run it so advanced or could melt the pistons.
The local shop has had my boat for four weeks and I'm really getting frustrated.
If anyone knows a good repair place near Highland, MI, I'd love to know their name.
Thanks,
Dan
