I've got a 16'-6" 1976 warrior fish and ski
It has a raised area that wraps around the front of the boat (storage - port-side, live well - starboard, platform with pedestal seat and storage below across the forward most area of the bow) hope this helps, my camera took a $#!+
the platform area is spongy it does not have any reinforcement under it, just 1/4" fiberglass, which has being weakened by the seat movement
I need to reinforce it, but, I don't know what direction to go

Ideas:eek:, thoughts:rolleyes:, and criticism:redface: are always welcome:)!

Re: spongy bow floor

Hi to another Jax guy, there are quite a few of us. you need to get under it, and get some support. being it is 30 y/o. it may have had support, that has failed. really need to see it. i have a 1970 in the same condition, had plywood, but is failing. i was considering adding another sheet of 1/2 on top as the edges are good and glassing it in.

Re: spongy bow floor

it has a 18" x 18" piece of plywood on the under side that the seat is bolted to but it is just not enough
I like the idea of plywood and glassing it in or maybe covering it with new carpet and bolting it in! (going to replace all the carpet anyway)
