Hi All
I’m doing a repair to my Bimini top and need to splice together two pieces of 1” square aluminum tube. It’s a straight connection. On another section there are inserts that allow for a join. I’m not able to find these inserts anywhere. Any suggestions where I could find them. I’m in Ontario Canada.
Thahis.

It's normally just a section of smaller square tube.

For example on 1-1/4" 1/8 wall, a section of 1" square tube is used as the connector

So for 1", the two square tube sizes to use would be 3/4 or 7/8 depending if you have 1/16 wall or 1/8" wall bow tubes

I agree. Inner sleeve and attach with your favorite method.

We had one break. I thought the welder would sleeve it but he just did a butt weld and stitched it back together.
