Spirit (Suzuki) 20 hp should I get it

Hey guys,
I have a 14 foot Lund and I recently found a 20 hp spirit not sure of the year but it was rebuilt 3 years ago. The guys selling it for 150 because he's moving and needs it gone I asked him if he'd sell separate from the boat and he said yet. Just wondering if you all think it'd be a good purchase? He said he will run it for me

$150 is not a big loss if it is not working properly, but it would be best to run it under a load for some time to make sure it will stand up and not overheat and run with plenty of power
