Hi all, anyone got an idea of what will make my speedometer need go to the back side of the peg instead of the side where the zero is. It looks like it wound the wrong way. Won't move at all either way.
Thanks

Re: Speedometer pegged backwards

are you going in reverse when this happens? ok, ok, sorry, I couldnt resist.

I would think that if you pulled a vacuum on the pitot tube, the speedo would pull down below zero. Maybe the tube is clogged? just a theory...

you're spedometer just may be f@#$ed, but try an air compressor on you're pitot. just fixed mine, pitot tube was worn and disconnected. check that too!

Dont get too carried away with the compressed air, the voice of experience...

If the speedo is pegged on the back side of the peg, it already experienced too much pressure or the internal mechanism simply let go. Speedo's are cheap (when compared with a lot of other marine stuff).
