Re: speed

I use the TrollMaster and love it. Very precise throttle control compared to the twist grip on the tiller. Tied the main to the kicker with linkage and only have to leave the helm to reel or net. :)

Re: speed

I bought the Itroll a few months back, with the hunt program. I have yet to hook it all up and use it... I've been busy doing other things! I can say that the quality of the product appears to be top-notch. I called them with questions on the unit and spoke with Joel (the creator). He is very helpful, knowledgeable, and stands behind his product. I am actually mailing the Itroll unit back to him today, so that he can apply an upgrade to the unit (that came out shortly after I purchased it), that will allow for four different "hunt" programs. The hunt programs allow you to set a minimum speed and a maximum speed, and a few other parameters. Then, while you're trolling, the program will speed up and slow down between your range of speeds. The idea is that your lure presentation is constantly changing, rather than trolling along at the same speed all the time. It has the capabilities of connecting to steering setups, so that you can steer from the Itroll unit as well...
