Speed odometer stopped working 2006 Q4 SK/FS

was onu in the lake late yesturday very smooth I was running trim almost full up abouk 53mph and my speedometer all of a sudden stopped // my first boat I know the speed is picked up off sensor // where is the sensor ?and what could be the problem

it has the V6 4.3 merc cursier 230 hp power plant

With your drive all the way up run your hand up and down the back side , there will be a knotch , that will be your pickup for speedo. Make sure no trash is in knotch

Checked that no trash went out on the water rode for about 4 hrs noticed the boat not handleing right very sluggish when i would come out of a hard turn the boat would want to continue in the direction (going past the straight point and wanting to continue past). when i trailered the boat and removed the drain plugs steady water for aproximately 5 min could the speedometer and this problem be related??

sounds like your pitot tube line that goes from the motor to the spedo had a connection come off or has a hole in it.
