how do you check to see how big a gap the spark will jump to plug? Is there a tool or do you try to hold the plug wire at a distance. I know that is a silly question to any one who knows the answer::lol: any info is appreciated
If you are going to work on outboards, you need a spark gap tool. It has an end to plug the spark plug wire boot onto, then a ground lead to clip onto your powerhead. The gap is adjustable. Your motor should jump a 1/4" gap with a bright blue ZAP!!
