spark plugs wet with water

1994 25hp murcury outboard motor plugs have a tan color film on them

How do you know you are getting water on the spark plugs?

Tan is a good color for spark plugs. Water will usually bead up on spark plugs. In addition, water will usually clean spark plugs like new.

its wet and wipes off easy

Gee, last I knew, water was clear, maybe rusty, but not tan. Sure it is not some gas/oil+combustion products?

i took the plugs out a swip the in side with a q- tip and it is black , i brough the motor with the tank and hose the tank was emplty ,but i`ll dump the gas buy a new hose and try again
