Spark Plugs for Vortec Heads

Was just looking at Dennis Moore's book and I noticed the Vortec Heads require a different plug?<br /><br />Are the threads longer? What about the projected nose?<br /><br />Any suggested p/n's? Book suggests AC MR43LTS or MR42LTSM (projected nose?)

Threads appear longer to me yes. My 1997 5.7LX EFI Gen + came with, and I continue to use MR43LTS. Not sure what the LTSM is all about, but I did have a 1990 Chevy Cavalier Z-24 with a 3.1 V6 with aluminum heads that called for a R44LTSM

Vortec's call for MR43LTS.they are longer.
