Spark plugs for 1985 Mercruiser 3.0

Can anyone tell me which plug to use in my 1985 Mercruiser 3.0. The owners manual calls for Champion R8L8 but I can not find this plug. Is there a suitable replacement. Thanks

NGK BR6FS would be your best bet. Avoid Champion plugs if possible. They cause more problems than they cure.
