spark plug question

I have a 92 Reinell 185 with a OMC Cobra 4.3. It has Autolite ap145 plugs in it now and i'm changing them out. I read that I could use AC Delco r43ts plugs. When I put the autolite next to the ac delco plug, everything looks the same except for the length past the threads. The ac plug has a longer electrode and bent post. Each is longer than the autolite by about 1/8-3/16 of an inch. Are the new ac delco plugs the correct ones and the autolite are just shorter than they are suppose to be? Can I run the ac delco r34ts? I'm worried that they are to long and will hit the top of the piston. Thanks in advance for the replies
