spark plug gap for 1988 mercury 100

Can anyone tell me what the spark gap should be for a 1988 mercury 100? My SELOC manual for this motor says "SET" under the gap column. What does this mean?

it should have surface gap plugs...non adjustable

Check your manual for the right spark plug,or go to a repair shop and buy the right plugs for you motor. They should be able to tell you what you need.
