Guys,

I thought of these the other day and finally found the on the web.

Spark plug boots that have a little light in them that flashes when they plug sparks.

If you have random spark problems, these could be very helpful, and cheap too.

Us sport jet owners know all about NO SPARK conditions.

Ken

http://www.jcwhitney.com/product.jhtml;$sessionid$WJ3D0FQAADHJCQSNDV1CFE0CJUOXKIV0?CATID=60764&_requestid=167867

Howdy, Ken.

Cool item! :D

I wonder if there is a reason that they don't say boats and outboards as well as ATVs and bikes.

Those are really trick.Probably specify bikes and ATV's so you can look cool at night running down freeway on your inline four street bike or similar exposed engine .You could blow a few minds night trolling with cowling off too :D

I was wondering if these were for continuous use?
Or for checking for spark only (diagnostics)?
Does anyone know?

I know about these things. Sparkies. I used to have them on my HD Sportster. They work fine for a while, but after a few months, at least on a motorcycle, they seem to get moisture in them and cause some erratic firing. But, when they do work, they work just fine. They sure would be a great thing to keep in the tool kit. You could always just install them if you thought you were having trouble. They flash really brightly.

Sounds like a troubleshooting sort of thing, keeping a complete set of wires, including the flashers, in the drybox.
