Space between deck and pontoon tubes

My pontoon is a 2002. I am currently rehabbing it. My deck sits high off tubes, is there a space filler for this area ??? The newer pontoons either have this space covered or sit closer to tubes. Is there any way for me to fill this space ?

Looks perfectly normal to me,...... 'n anything you add,... adds weight,....

I think I would leave it . It gives you access for the water hose to rinse things down... jmo

Many newer 'toons are bottom skinned

They all have some form of M-bracket mounting the logs to the deck

they may have additional vanity cladding
