I live in Wisconsin and do not work for 3-4 months a year. What do you think I do all winter? I drank a liter of 110 proof white whiskey straight, no ice or anything in 2 days last week. Pretty sure I'm not a rookie. :D

I agree with you.Sounds like an Alcoholic. Just kidding. Sounds like your in construction trades.

Re: Southern Comfort

Here is a bottle of Southern Comfort that has been sitting at our marina tiki for several years now untouched. I have never seen anybody take a swig of her till recently......and this was by an iboat member, which I won't name at this time. He had the hiccups for the rest of the evening!

Re: Southern Comfort

Macallan or Glenfiddich...either is good for me. It's what I drink when not having beer or wine.

Cheers

Those are both very good choices, but I have become partial to The Glenlivet for the past few years. Someday I hope to try the 18 or 24 year variety.

Never been a fan of SoCo though...

Re: Southern Comfort

I prefer JD. but if you mix SoCo with ginger ale it is actually pretty good. Straight though way too sweet.

Re: Southern Comfort

Southern Comfort was something we drank in our really early 20s back in the day like the flavored vodkas and coolers today. It was sweet and rocked your socks off if you had enough of it. And you paid the price the next day. Give me a good single malt neat and I'm a happy guy... otherwise I stick to the beers

Back in my younger wilder single days I'd mix the SC with orange juice and give it to the wild wimmins, tastes like Juicy Fruit chewing gum when you mixed it way.

Scotch lover since I could drink (wow...35 years). Anyways, I occasionally enjoy 100 proof SoCo on the rocks. Yes it's sweet but enjoyable.

They also make Southern Comfort Iced Tea, which aint half bad on a hot summers day. For good sipping, though, I'll take Macallan 12yr. Then maybe Glenlivet or Glenfiddich. Neat, of course.

I am in the construction trades. I install and service in-ground fiberglass pools. Which works out great as I love fiberglass boats. :) :)

I lived in Northern Mi for years and was in the trades myself. Everything would shut down at deer season and start back up when the frost laws came off the roads. I know exactly what your talking about. All there was to do was snowmobile and go to the bar, so we just snowmobiled from bar to bar. lol Last one there buys the first round. Had some fast sleds back then, and No you couldnt get away with that nowadays.

Brings back some really bad memories of my teenage years!

+1 on that...when I discovered they made a weaker 30% version I made sure NOT to buy that one. Hindsight is always 20/20 now I am no booze! But man I loved the stuff, I would drink it straight on the rocks!
