From what I understand they now come with a flux capacitor. Stuff a little trash in the feeder tube and fish all week!

Crosby, I hope before I go to the next world I'll get to drive one. Thanks for sharing.

Here’s what they look like when they decide to catch fire. It remains unknown why it started in the first place. No one was on board at the time.

remember the wide eyes when the model T came out and you had to bring petroleum juice instead of a spare bail of hay to feed the engine?

same s... different day but I admit I do like the bug smoke :)

25 mile range ?? I would need one really long extension cord to recharge before I could return to shore !! One very big expensive trolling motor !!

I think it said 30....so I'm wondering, 30 miles out and 30 miles back?

Wishful speaking I suppose.

Great, now all you need is a 500 pound battery to blast around for 4 hours. electricity and water, batteries that short out with water and you cant put out with water, no problems here, move on. jmo think il just stick with my 2 stroke which is good for bug control. lol
500 pounds doesn't get you a lot of Battery, about ten Group 78s, which wouldn't provide much power for even a 35hp Outboard, maybe 10-15 minutes

Folks still mis-understand " power "-----A vehicle on a level road would not need 180 HP to move at 50 MPH.----But a boat sure does.-----I would want some sort of system to separate a battery from the boat in case of an incident.

But a gas tank permanently fixed in a boat is ok?

Writing on the wall says this is going to happen like it or not.

It is fun to debate it though.

Crosby, your the man!

I grew up in Sarasota. I can’t say I miss it.
It s not the same as it was in the 70’s but I guess that applies to everywhere. It sure was nice back then though.

Many of these batteries in EV's are well over a thousand lbs. You would definetly need a couple in a boat and that much extra weight ????

And as Racer said, Horsepower Requirements for Boat are much different than those of a Car/Truck. Over 2 tons of Lithium Explosive on a Boat. I guess if you could sink the Boat Instantly, you 'might' be able to put out a Battery Fire

Liquid Gasoline doesn't Explode, though it does burn rather rapidly. Gasoline Vapour on the other, being mixed with a very large quantity of Air, will explode, which is way Bilges need lots of air moved in and out of them
