Some Paint questions

I am just wondering what thinning/reducing would have to take place in order for me to spray this product on through a HPLV paint sprayer with good results.

I realize I have to vinegar then zinc the bare aluminum spots, and scuff the rest - then degrease for preparation.

I appreciate you help here.

Another question:

1.) If I went with the zinc chromate primer, will this also serve to prime the painted surfaces, or is it best to only use it on bare metal?

2.) Do you think 1 quart of zinc chromate would be sufficient to prime a 17.5' boat with some interior priming to be done too? Or do you think I should prime bare metal areas with ZC and use standard automotive primer for the painted surfaces?

3.) Would it work to add metal flake to the equation?

If it was me, I'd hit the bare areas with a light dusting of etching primer. Couple rattle cans will probably do ya. Then I'd prime the whole thing with regular primer.

Thank you. I did end up just getting two more rattle cans. I'll go over that with standard auto primer and continue on via WoG's tutorial.

I have read many threads, but I was not clear on the suitability of ZC for use as a primer over existing paints.

I must have missed the discussion on adding metal flake. I'll search again and post a link if I can find it.
