soft spots

Wondering if you guys have a video or info how.and what I need to buy to repair my soft spots I was told it needs to be done before I put the boat in the water I'm going to attach a picture please help need to get this done today thanks btw It's fiber

Ayuh,.... There's Lotsa info, 'n what nots right here in the forum,...

Basically, I'm sure yer damage is Much deeper, 'n worse than ya think it is,...

Usually, cuttin', 'n diggin' to find Unrotted wood is the 1st step...
Then you'll know how far ya gotta go, 'n how much material you'll need to fix it...

Ok but I was told to just fix that for now guess I need to buy cloth and resin right ? Just need a little more info on what else I would need to do the job or a video ect.....

to fix the problem you cant just glass over it. you need to cut out the rot and replace the structure that is rotten. this may mean cutting out stringers, bulkheads, etc.

Ayuh,... Just fixin' that crack, Don't fix anything....

It broke from a lack of support, aka; Rotten wood...

Have ya got anymore pictures, that show the surroundin' areas,..??

MG,

Here's the deal, Your deck is connected to stringers and bulkheads, and they are connected to the boats hull. When you cut out the deck's "Soft Spots", more than likely you are going to find that the stringers are water soaked and will need to be replaced too! This appears to be the stern of your boat and this means your Transom could be at risk as well. Take a look at the first link in my signature below. It has drawings and instructions on how to repair your Deck, Stringers, and transom and the materials required for the repairs.
