That gear looks like it has a small Chip on one of the Teeth. I would likely be replacing the gearset too

I have looked at sintered " metal " under a microscope.---After it had been subjected to immersion in " heavy water " exposed to chemicals / radiation.--Seemed like it was powder at one time and looked like powder again..-----I had huge struggle explaining to engineer and my supervisor as to what had happened.-----They never did believe me and I think are still struggling with it today.

I am wondering about this porosity thing and salt water exposure. Lots of folks flush their motors after salt water exposure.

As I wrote on a Whiteboard in the Management Meeting Room, in regular Felt pen "Keep Smiling the Bosses are IDIOTS!!!" It stayed up for 3 days after they first saw it.

Yea, not sure if it’s an illusion or what, but I noticed that on the previous post when someone mentioned it and went back and looked over the gears probably at least 5 times. I don’t see any chip at all on either side and the top
